These poems reflect love, loss, and many more topics that I feel will resonate with a lot of people. These poems are written from anger, pain, love, loss, and an array of feelings.  The metaphor of a garden refers to a place where African Americans can gather; hence the phrases " In My Graden" and " A Garden for Us". These poems serve as a look into black experiences, traditions, and it is was written from a Southern, Black, Queer point of view.

Biographie de Jaheim Wilder

Jaheim Wilder is a Mississippi native. Jaheim was born in Jackson, Mississippi, and resides in Belzoni. Jaheim is a poet, a writer, and an artist. Jaheim was inspired by poets and writers such as Audre Lorde, Essex Hemphill, and James Baldwin. Jaheim's interest in writing and history began at a very young age after reading and studying poems and black history. Jaheim has spoken at events, performed at churches, and continues to write poetry.
