Résumé

Small time crooks Jackson and Angel are marginalized ex-foster teens who can barely keep a roof over their heads and food on the table. Yet they share a love that is fresh and soul-deep - Angel is Jackson's personal miracle, and he is Angel's 'sweet boy'. All around them, girls are disappearing off the mean streets of East Vancouver and they soon discover an international gang of human sex traffickers are luring teen girls with heroin, seduction, and promises of riches. After they witness the gang load heroin-addicted girls into shipping containers to force them into prostitution overseas, Jackson and Angel are desperate to stop it.
Ignored by the police, a crime reporter, and even the local mob, they find themselves left to take matters into their own hands. The trouble with dogs that don't bark is ... you never hear them coming. THAT DOG DON'T BARK is an unlikely romance that will keep you on the edge of your seat, cheering for Jackson and Angel.

À propos de l'auteur

Biographie de Aaron McClelland

McClelland serves up three dimensional characters in his novels. Not your slick pulp cutouts you find in too many novels, but people with soul, haunted by their own demons and driven to make their way through life the only way they know how. McClelland's characters bleed when they're cut, aren't the toughest hombres on the landscape, and his female characters sweat, swear, and are as tough as their male counterparts when pushed too far; and they all love like tomorrow doesn't exist. If you want perfect characters, read someone else's books.
But if you want characters you can relate to - read his. McClelland now lives in a lakeside town in the Okanagan valley where tourists come to die. "It's a sad and beautiful world"
