Biographie de Lionel Daunais
Lionel Daunais was a distinguished baritone, composer and lyricist. He was a frequent performer on Canadian radio in the 1940s, and his numerous awards include the Canadian Music Council Medal, the Calixa-Lavallée Music Award, and a posthumous Denise-Pelletier Award. In 2006, he was inducted into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame.
Marie Lafrance has become one of Québec's best-known children's book illustrators, having received great critical acclaim for the albums Le Grand voyage de monsieur Caca (Les 400 Coups), La fée des bonbons (Dominique et Cie) and La Diablesse and the Baby (Annick Press) for which she was a Governor General's Literary Award finalist.
