Lorenzo is a lonely widower who lives only for his son Theo and his work. He lost his wife a few years ago, and the grief still saddens him. Since Theo is a child who needs care, being only six years old, Lorenzo's parents decide it's time to find a good nanny. They take care of Theo, but they notice that Lorenzo is still feeling worse with each passing day, especially as the two-year anniversary of his wife's death approaches.
During the interview with the young Alice, a woman with a degree in education who loves children, she quickly wins over Lorenzo's mother's heart. As she starts her job, she immediately grows fond of little Theo, and she has no idea that the ruthless widower may have room for feelings other than his work.
