An ancient species indigenous to the Galaxy known as the Variants have roamed undetected for centuries preying on humans and their limitless addiction to pleasure. While not parasitic as such, the Variant are beings that feed off the pleasure experienced by humans, especially if the Variant is providing the pleasure. Variants are an ageless species and have needed to adapt to the changing mores of acceptable human interaction. From the 'one partner for life' times of the Victorian era to the 'free love' Sexual Revolution of the 20th century allowing a change of partner at will being acceptable, the innate skills of the Variant allow her to continue to thrive in the current evolving world.
