Résumé

All that sad, lonely Aussie truckie Mark Cornwall wants for Chrissie Day is a trouble-free road-train drive through the Australian Outback, coast to coast, south to north. He's delivering 60 tonnes of newsprint to the last place on Earth he would choose to visit: his ex-wife's workplace in Darwin, NT, his father-in-law's newspaper. Mark has sold his haulage business and given his drivers and families the Chrissie Hollies off, and he's the only driver left to deliver his company's final load before handing over to the new owners.
His chosen isolated truck stop, just south of Port Augusta, SA, is invaded by Chrissie Eve partygoers who urge him with threats to move on. His inner peace is further interrupted by a naked red headed calendar model, a classic "Bluey", and a damsel in distress who needs a "knight" of the road to escape from powerful abusers. Mark's season of goodwill just got complicated.

À propos de l'auteur

Biographie de Tony Spencer

Have published 35 books since 1998, one out of print, 23 available on Smashwords, 6 on Wattpad and 15 on Amazon. I started writing fiction in 2012. I brought out a glut of little books as soon as I realised self publishing was an option, but now I am settling down to produce one novel and a collection of other stories each year. A grandfather of three angels, happily married for 42 years to another angel, living in Hampshire, England, about 35 miles west of London.
I had worked for over 40 years as a printer and proofreader but retired in 2015 and hoping to spend more time writing. Also an editor of a community magazine, football programmes and have written weekly sports reports now for almost 20 years in local newspapers. Now concentrating on romantic fiction, mostly short stories, with occasional novellas and novels. Proud to be a member of the KCEditions independent publishing house of Canada.
