A lady in the late 1700s accidently walks in on a man at the tailor shop in town. She is there to be measured by the seamstress wife of the tailor and chooses the wrong dressing area. The gentleman is so flumoxed he makes it seem as if he is amused which embarrasses and annoys the lady. When se discovers he has been made master of the estate next to her father's property, she intends to avoid him at all costs.
He is busy learning to manage an estate and does not see her fror the lady she is. When his sister falls in love with her brother, they must learn to get along, at least during the interminable supper parties. Will they ever let down their guard and discover they both fell in love at first sight?
