Résumé

She is the instrument of the god's vengeance-until she loses the power she cannot bear to live without. Eighteen-year-old Maia, terrifying leader of the vicious temple maenads, has learned nothing but contempt for the weakness of her human body. She lives for the ritual that transforms her into maenad form, ready to administer the vengeance of the volcano god. Killing a fugitive shifter is not just her duty, but her delight-until, against all odds, he captures her, trapping her in her worst nightmare.
Her vulnerable, easily controlled human form. Marked for destruction by his forbidden gifts, empath and shifter Philos fled the city years ago to become a warrior for persecuted people like him. Now he has the enemy at his mercy-a maenad desperate to regain her power. But when they touch, he finds his empathic power not so much a gift as a terrible danger. To his people, and his heart. NOTE: A previous version of A Girl of Dust & Death was released in 2011 under the title Blood of the Volcano, and has been revised for this new edition.

À propos de l'auteur

Biographie de Imogen Howson

As a child, Imogen Howson loved reading so much that she not only read in bed, at the table and in the bath, but in the shower and-not so successfully-on her bicycle. She enjoyed books in a slightly unorthodox way, too: many of her childhood books have ragged edges where she tore paper from the margins in order to eat it. Imogen lives with her partner, their two young adult children, three cats, and two tiny dogs, in Cambridgeshire in England, where she bakes, runs, drinks coffee, and sustains an amateur but enthusiastic interest in all things make-up and skincare.
She is a member of The Romantic Novelists' Association. She no longer eats paper.
