Since Ginger and Olivia have been together, there has always been a black cloud over their relationship. Addiction it seems, is never cured; it is controlled after long excruciating bouts of withdrawal. But like the harbinger of death, it is always hanging over the head of the afflicted one and the one most likely to be crushed by the effects of the affliction. When that harbinger finally regains possession of the weak partner it threatens to do irreparable damage to them both.
