In hopes of starting a new life, Beth Braddock moves to the cozy, coastal community of Mendocino. She soon realizes she is not alone when she meets Amy Thompson, who owns a gift shop, and Tom Miller, local bookstore owner. Although they have known each other for a few years, their relationship has been purely plutonic until now. One of them is looking for something more, while the other cannot seem to shake off skeletons from the past.
Then Beth meets Paul Hayden, who has returned to Mendocino to run the family bed & breakfast after the passing of his mother. Together, these four people rediscover the importance of friendship, family, and love.
