This story follows the life of Amy O'Dowd, who writes for the newspaper Western Lives in a town called Ballynoggin, she finds herself thrown into the deep end as an agony aunt for this newspaper during Covid-19.  Through-out the story we are introduced to her family and through the medium of her agony column many a mishap occurs, which leaves shockwaves in a small inert town in the West of Ireland.  As the story progresses, we learn more about Amy and her family and that her mother had been out of her life for the past thirteen years, however much to Amy's surprise she reappears in her and her sisters lives. While working on the new column, Amy's love life also begins to hot up, opening her mind to new horizons!
