PRINGLE TAYLOR is thirty, single, and a teacher at the Brooklyn Alternative School where she knows she is making a difference in the lives of underprivileged students. Her third floor walk-up in Park Slope is decorated just the way she likes it, and she considers her boyfriend, HUNTER, almost perfect. Within a few days, she's faced with another unexpected dilemma. Hunter proposes and even though Pringle says yes, she wonders if it was the right decision. She is reluctant to set a wedding date or make any effort toward planning a future together, and while she doesn't want to lose Hunter, she's aware that something is missing. To further complicate matters, the headmaster of the school announces the school will close at the end of the semester due to lack of funding.
