Résumé

What if you had the chance to talk to an immortal? Vampires come out to the world. Even if they are real, they can't make new vampires, so nothing changes, right? That's what a majority of the world believes, but some are interested in the history of the vampires, and in the advice they might pass on to the mortal world. For this reason, the ruling body-at least, the one with the most power-agrees to do forty interviews between randomly selected vampires and handpicked humans which will then be turned into articles, books, or podcasts and broadcast for the consumption of mortals. Helen is chosen as an interviewer.
Going in, she prepares for some fluffy, guilt-laden story filled with woe-is-me moments and a conflicted conscience about eating mortals. She expects some well-researched history with bad acting because she doesn't believe in vampires. Quintillus is anything but conflicted. His story is filled with holes, disturbing imagery, and hints at vampiric secrets he shouldn't be sharing. She knows she shouldn't trust him, that she should question everything he says, but he takes her on a night-long adventure that is more than she bargained for.

À propos de l'auteur

Biographie de Aya DeAniege

Aya DeAniege is a Canadian author who wrote for years, first to please herself then writing stories for free--believing no one would ever pay to read her stuff--before pursuing indie publishing. She still writes mainly for personal pleasure, with topics ranging from romance, fantasy, science fiction, on to whatever takes her fancy in the future. World creation fascinates her, and when she finds one she likes, she dabbles endlessly.
