Résumé

Should the spouse of a war veteran stand and fight or take flight when a changed person returns home? Who provides basic training to equip military families for battle?Davida Kincaid, a college student, shares how the Vietnam War squashed her budding love relationship with Vincent Henderson when he is drafted and deployed. Fear of being killed in action and dying childless leads Vincent to pressure his high school sweetheart into marriage.
A barrage of blistery attacks by anxious in-laws, others and her husband make Davida's life a living Hell. She has no idea that Vincent's destructive behavior is due to an undiagnosed case of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Her faith in God and advice from experienced wives sustain her until she reaches a pivotal moment of decision. Bliss and Blisters in Love & Marriage offers young adults, couples, newlyweds and military families (especially veterans and their spouses) insightful discussion material.
Davida's story provides healing and encouragement to let go of shameful experiences and issues faced in love and marriage.
