When twenty year old Amanda Deveaux, budding reporter, reaches out to the office of Congressman Anthony Markins, she fully expects her request to be turned down. After all, she's a nobody from a small paper, and at that, she hasn't even been allowed a serious assignment yet. But when, much to her surprise, an appointment for an interview is made, she delights in the opportunity to kick start her career.
