I'm an RN who transitioned from bedside nursing after twelve years of working in LTC, ER, Pre-Op, and PACU. I'm sure you're wondering what influenced my decision to do so. Well, I'm glad you asked! After working through the COVID pandemic as an ER travel nurse, like most nurses I know, I experienced a huge wave of emotional burnout. I unexpectedly realized that bedside nursing was no longer my passion.
