They manage to live together through some bumps and bruises and a couple of mistakes on both their parts while Cate is healing but the sexual tension builds on a daily basis.
There are ex-girlfriends getting in the way. There is the pain of physical therapy. There is the very real emotional trauma of being dependent on another human being along with depression that often accompanies that. There is sex with a friend and jealousy.
