Résumé

When the body of a murdered British businessman is found floating in Hong Kong's Victoria Harbour alarm bells ring in London. Before the man's death he had informed the British consulate of a Chinese plot to kill the UK Minister of State for Telecommunications. A major Chinese telecommunications company is keen to win the multi million pounds contract to supply the UK 5G network but the minister has voiced concerns about allowing a Chinese company to bid for the contract.
Should the contract be let to a Chinese company it would incur a considerable risk to national security. Consequently, the company must be blocked from bidding. Mike Harding, a former soldier now assigned to MI13, is instructed to follow the minister to a meeting in Malmo. In Malmo Harding learns the minister has a major financial interest in a Swedish telecoms company part owned by a Russian cartel.
On his return to the UK, Harding is faced with a dilemma. Does he stop the assassin or does he report the minister as an enemy agent.
