Running Bear and Yokomo own a small motel and gas station near Wolverton Mountain also known as the Mountain of Love and it is there where Yokomo tells Molly and Bobby of the strange things that happen quite often around that area.
After spending the night at the motel, strange things start to happen to both Molly and Bobby  once they start their journey back on the road again to meet up with Lucille who is at her Uncle Charlie Brown's place in Memphis Tennessee.
