Résumé

The daughter of a former U-boat officer visits her father who lays dying in a Boston hospital. During the visit he hands her an old diary. He claims the diary contains a secret and is much sought after by others. He asks his daughter to promises she will act on the contents of the diary. Meanwhile, a wealthy German businessman knows of the diary and what it contains. He believes the diary is his and he will stop at nothing to recover it.
In England the son of recently deceased British trawler skipper is going through his father's papers. He come across  a story often told by his father about a time when he was trawling close to the coast off north Iceland. The trawler's nets snagged several wooden crates full of gold ingots. Soon afterwards the trawler was lost in a violent storm. It sank with the gold still onboard. With the help of two friends he decides to search for the wreck salvage the gold.
The problem is, they are not alone. An American couple and a German businessman are also searching for the gold...

Following a portfolio career that included working in Iceland, several years as a motor vehicle technician, obtaining a post graduate diploma in management from the University of Hertfordshire, many years in management within the public sector and in parallel to his day job, thirteen years serving with the Royal Naval Reserve at home and abroad and in several ships. Then In 2013 Peter opted for early retirement, Originally from Watford, Hertfordshire, Peter now lives with his Italian wife in the East Midlands where he spends most of his time writing novels featuring Mike Harding,
