I, Ian am a Ethical Traveller experiencing life. Ian Crossland "Creator in Life"Ian (meaning God's Gracious Gift) Crossland (meaning Bearer of the Cross-over Land) was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Ian's past lives spent constructing buildings, as a Superintendent, Project Manager, Estimator, and Licensed Contractor.
Currently Ian writes about Normal Native Intelligence or common sense. Ian is a Best Selling author of books on conservation, ethics, self-knowledge, and fiction. Ian writes fictional novellas published as e-novellas. ScoutingIan started in Scouting as what is now a Beaver, advanced though the ranks as a Cub Scout to sixer, then when on to what is now Scouts Canada. Ian continued Scouting holding various positions as Cub Scout Leader, Webelos Den Leader, Pack Trainer, Unit Commissioner, District Committee Member, Camping Chairperson, Assistant Scoutmaster, Cub Scout Trainer, and Boy Scout Trainer.
Ian has attended Wood Badge SR446 and Powderhorn. Ian currently serves our future leaders as Cubmaster, Venturing Crew Advisor, District Vice-Chair, Campmaster, and Council Conservation Chair. Ian's mentoring is very important in shaping the lives of gifted people by providing guidance and support. Ian has chaired, and served on many Cub Scout and Boy Scout District and Council Events. Ian honored to serve as National Staff at the 2005, 2010 National Jamborees.
Ian led and advised his crew on their Philmont Trek in 2007 and again in 2009. In 2007, Ian honored to serve on the Leave No Trace Staff at the 2007 and 2011 World Jamborees. Ian was a Leave No Trace Master Educator BSA Instructor at the first Leave No Trace Masters Front Country Course offered at Northern Tier. JourneyingIan has been in the outdoors since the time he was able to walk. As a youth, Ian's summers included cycling, hiking, camping, and fishing.
Autumn brought hunting, and his winter activities included Cross-country skiing, Downhill Skiing, Ski Mountaineering, Ice fishing, Winter Camping, and Ice Climbing.
