Résumé

Online dating is a very dangerous adventure. One of the greatest dangers online is that many unscrupulous child abusers prey on innocent children, teenagers, and even adults; resulting in disastrous consequences for the victims and their families. However, this book is not specifically about such widespread dangerous trends. Rather, the real life events portrayed in Confessions of a Lonely Lover are about Internet dating scams for the sole purpose of defrauding the victims financially and emotionally.
Anyone can fall victim of this kind of online dangers, if not careful. For example, the victim portrayed in this book is a highly educated adult, who was once a law enforcement officer, an investigator, and a Project Management Professional; yet, he fell for the dating scams - at least initially. With an enviable innocence, pure heart, and comical naivety, he was lured into the traps of the Internet dating scammers.
Fortunately for him, he was already broke at the time he got involved; otherwise, it could have been much worse financially. Unfortunately, some people have lost their life-savings to similar scams. So beware, if you think you are too smart to fall for similar scams.
