Young Billy has been missing for 15 years. He was taken by creatures from the "Other Side". They have returned to trade Billy for Mikayla's 15-year-old daughter who they discovered is the product of relations between a human and one from the other side. They have come for the girl. They cannot allow offspring from one of their kind to remain with humans. That would be disastrous. The girl, Kamita Bronson, is quite a handful but her mother although noticing certain other-world qualities has no intention of giving her up.
But she wants Billy back as well. As this tale spins with intrigue and plot twists the final result surprises everyone except Mikayla and the girl's non-human father.
