In the sun-drenched countryside of Crome, a group of eccentric intellectuals gather for a summer of art, conversation, and intrigue. There's the cynical painter Denis Stone, the enigmatic poet Henry Wimbush, and the beautiful and enigmatic Anne Wimbush.
