Thirty-two Engine is one of the Haz Mat rigs and it is Linda's job to stand by to decon any police or FBI and then go into the sarin gas environment and decon that. Two police officers die in the raid, and that brings in Homicide Lieutenant Stan Jaworski. When the FBI try to freeze him out, he says he'll call Vice President Thomas about the incident. The FBI relent and allow him to continue. Jaworski is convinced that there will be another terrorist attack and that the sarin gas will be used as a diversion for some other crime, but he has no idea what that crime will be.
As he and his partner investigate, he doesn't realize that in the end it will all tie together in a manner none of them would have ever considered.
