Biographie de Julie Donley

Dr. Donley experienced some really ineffective (and inappropriate) bosses early in her career in healthcare, so she set out to learn about effective leadership. She studied leadership, practiced leadership, and worked with other leaders to develop her leadership acumen and equip and develop leadership qualities in others. Dr. Donley is a professional certified coach working with leaders and executives, new leaders, and high potentials.
Julie is a trauma-informed coach, certified diversity coach, offers emotional intelligence assessments, and is a skilled facilitator, group coach, author, and leadership development consultant. Having overcome much adversity both personally and professionally, Julie learned that leadership begins with self-leadership, and understanding the impact of the leader on others. She pursued her Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership researching the impact of the work environment on job satisfaction.
A lifelong learner, Julie has completed several certifications, an MBA, and is a registered nurse having spent her healthcare career in psychiatric settings. Julie served nearly a decade as a director of nursing in behavioral healthcare where she also coached leaders internally, developed leadership training programs, and mentored others to advancement. Julie has been coaching and facilitating since 2001; she has presented to hundreds of audiences and written hundreds of articles.
She has authored two books on self-leadership and has been recognized as a thought leader. Her expertise includes helping leaders to navigate conflict and difficult situations, become self-aware, communicate effectively, increase their confidence, reduce their stress, and utilize coaching skills to create an influential culture resulting in highly productive teams. Julie and her husband live in Southeastern Pennsylvania.
