Book 2 of the series told John and Ellie Spencer's story and introduced the reader to the oldest brother, Jared and his wife, Julie who livve on a ranch in Rigsby, Wyoming. This book tells the story of the 3rd brother, Gage who was adopted but who Jared thought was dead from a beating from their mother's boyfriend. Gage makes a trip to Rigsby to meet Jared and John who drives up from Denver. with his wife.
Gage is coming off a bad realtionship and is not ready for another when he meets Kerry, a teacher and library worker. But in such a small town they keep getting thrown together.
