Résumé

A con man. An immortal demigod. A chance at love that could save the universe. In the far future, interstellar con man Anais Cavere takes the job of his life to impersonate his hero, immortal demigod Barenin Lyr. But his job as contract king to an unstable world takes a dangerous turn when he learns it was his hero who hired him. Barenin sweeps Anais into a web of cosmic intrigue with consequences spanning the universe.
And genderfluid Barenin, while she's at it, might also sweep Anais off his feet. Good King Lyr is a slow-burn, genderfluid, #ownvoices romance! Content note: It's important to me as a transgender/nonbinary person to let the characters have frank conversations around gender and transgender issues, including denial and dysphoria. Please read with self-care.

À propos de l'auteur

Biographie de Novae Caelum

Novae Caelum is an author, illustrator, and designer with a love of spaceships and a tendency to quote Monty Python. Star's had stories in Diabolical Plots, Intergalactic Medicine Show, Escape Pod, Clockwork Phoenix 5, and Lambda Award winning Transcendent 2: The Year's Best Transgender Speculative Fiction, as well as translated into German and Estonian. Novae is nonbinary, starfluid, and uses star/stars/starself or they/them/their pronouns.
Most days you can find star with digital pen in hand, crafting imaginary worlds. Or writing alien poetry. Or typing furiously away at stars serial genderfluid romance novels, with which star hopes to take over the world. At least, that's the plan.
