Many people fall in love with the antique art pieces. In fact, inevery artifact, you can find a beautiful meaning that isportrayed in the form of a painting. Basically, modern art wasproduced during the year 1870 to 1970. There are manyartists who love to do modern art. In fact, there are manyinstitutes who offer modern art courses for the interestedcandidates. The modern artists have refrained using the bygonetraditions in painting and did a lot of experiments in producingstupendous paintings that are commendable.
They tried differentforms of paintings using unique techniques, different materials, and developed new theories on how actually art should portraythe world and what all things that an artist have to perceive inorder to reflect exactly his thoughts on the painting board. Moreover, during 180 to 1970, there are umpteen art formswere being developed. As per the history, the modern art wasobserved by a Frenchman called Edouard Manet during the18th century.
But, it was believed that the modern art wasstarted before Frenchman by Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood, asthe arts drew by these people lack traditional academic artform in between 18 and 19th century. After Pre-Raphaelites, there are different amendments and movements took place inthe art world. And, those path breaking movements include ArtNouveau, Cubism, Expressionism, Abstract Expressionism, Dada, Surrealism, and Pop-Art, Orphism, Social Realism, Op-Art, Feminist art, etc.
In fact, the modern art also gave birth to amedium called photography that is taking the art world bystorm in today's era. Apart from photography, the other artforms that are developed in the recent times include animation, collage, cinematography, etc. However, modern art has no trendto categorize it, but was developed after cubism in terms ofabstract art, i.e. painting and sculpture. In today's era, modernart is being explored in different forms such as Constructivism, Suprematism, Colour Field, Op-Art, etc.
Basically, many of themodern artists will reject the past art as they believe that thosearts do not help in the development of new art forms and donot help the new artists in any way. Moreover, industrialrevolution gave new ideas for the artists and they are evincinginterest in bringing the change in the way they paint the finearts. Moreover, modern art is considered to be much closer tothe modern life over art in the bygone era.
In fact, the artistsportraying their views about the world is being betterrepresented in modern art over the art in the precedingcenturies. There are many different kinds of art styles that arebeing defined during 1860 to 1960 and it is quite cumbersomefor the people to find which art has actually defined themodern art. The key difference between modern artists and thetraditionalists is that, self-belief.
Basically, art is being valued andappreciated by the people, if it portrays some important valuesof life. We will be discussing about the history of modern art includingmodern art movements in detail.
