Two members of an online community find themselves on their way to the same wedding with very different goals in mind. Alice's boyfriend David is the best man, and she's eager to take this next step in their relationship, but when a near-plane crash forces Alice and her online friend Maeve to take a cross country journey together, hours of online chatting come up against Alice's life in the real world. David might not like any of Alice's friends, but he thinks he has a justified grievance with Maeve.
After all, she's the bride's ex-girlfriend, and she won't even tell Alice why she's racing to the church. But the lack of an invitation might speak for itself. And what about the bride? Where is she in all of this?
