Résumé

A Rekindled Romance was previously published in Our Christmas Nook Anthology (released November 14, 2019). The Egg was previously published in The Unlimited Tails Series: Bunny Tails Anthology (released March 19, 2020). Both were charity anthologies for the Independent Cat Society located in Westville, Indiana. Both are no longer in print. The remaining three short stories have never been published. Angels Never Leave ~ Four years ago, a man lost his beloved wife in a car accident.
Now he is facing yet another Valentine's Day and Anniversary without her. But her spiritual presence and her favorite flowers help him remember that angels never truly leave us. Valentine's Day ~ Written December 31, 2019 Friend's Make the Best Valentines ~ Eleven-year-old James and sixty-seven-year-old Darla are a bit of an odd duo, but the closest friends you'd ever meet. On a lonely Valentine's Day, James is bummed after he receives no Valentine's cards at school.
Darla helps James realize that the holiday isn't just about romance - in her words, romance sucks - but that friends make the best Valentines. True friends are always there for you, no matter what. They make the world beautiful. Valentine's Day ~ Written January 5, 2020 The Egg ~ When Mackenzie discovers a magical egg in the grass, she thinks it will solve all of her annoyances. Instead, it's going to take away everything she loves and show her just how lucky she is. Easter ~ Written January 15, 2020 A Father's Love ~ Five years ago, Gerald was a successful businessman during the day and a party animal at night.
He surrounded himself with beautiful women and didn't want kids. The ringing of his doorbell changed his entire world when a social worker showed up with the news he had a one-year-old daughter. Her mother had been killed in a car accident and Gerald was all she had now. Gerald learns that the life he never wanted, turned out to be the life he never knew he needed. Father's Day ~ Written February 3, 2020 A Rekindled Romance ~ Zoie and David were high school sweethearts when a devastating occurrence causes them to part ways.
They don't see or speak to each other again for 10 years. Both at an airport, trying to go visit family for Christmas, they happen upon each other when all the flights get cancelled. Feelings they thought were long gone are rekindled, flooding back for them both. Christmas ~ Written July 31, 2019
