When LeBron James, Chris Bosh, and Dwyane Wade chose Miami as their basketball home in the summer of 2010, it sent shockwaves throughout the country. Top free agents weren't supposed to hit the open market, let alone three of the very best players in the NBA and all at the same time. Their union changed everything, from how the media covered the newest megawatt draw in the NBA, to the criticism levied, to the basketball itself.
The same can be said for the media attention and criticism surrounding them. It was a traveling circus, the Beatles, and a soap opera all together as one. And it is a high the NBA is still trying to chase.
