Due to the structure and the tone assignment of the kalimba with 17 tines, the instrument is ideally suited as an accompanying instrument for the singing voice or melody instruments. In this book the common and possible accompanying chords are explained, different accompaniment patterns including alternating bass and much more are presented and applied to well-known songs. The MP3 sounds (melody and accompaniment as well as both individually) are available online in a player with adjustable playback speed. No knowledge of music notes is required - play by numbers / symbols!
