Oscar-winning writer Steve Tesich masterfully creates and destroys the sad, mad world of Saul Karoo. Un peu Russo, un peu Bret Easton Ellis, voici Steve Tesich. Saul Karoo, son antihéros, habite NY et vit très bien de son boulot de consultant en scénario. Alcoolique, imbu de lui-même et mauvais père, ce mode de vie lui convient très bien jusqu’à ce qu’il « tombe malade » ; l’alcool ne fait plus effet sur lui, il reste désespérément sobre. Un long travail sur lui-même commence alors…
