Résumé

Khosa Nahk?a term from the Southern Badlands that means "extinction-level event."Twelve years ago, Aleena Kurrin, gifted by the gods as a warrior, escaped the gladiator arena in the Southern Badlands, leaving a trail of death in her wake and handing the slavers their biggest humiliation. They were unable to take vengeance because they never knew where she lived?until now. The fact that the bounty on her head is the largest in Badland history guarantees every bounty hunter in business will come for her, and they don't care who they hurt in the process.
Aleena goes after the slave traders while her adoptive sister, Baezha, gifted by the gods in magic, stays behind to protect their family and community. But Baezha discovers a darker secret-the reason why Aleena's enemies found her, and why the authorities don't stop them. While Baezha untangles a dark web of corruption, Aleena ventures alone into the very heartland of those who hate her most. The one thing worse than being a slave is being the slave who humiliated her captors.
Only two things can make the slavers stop their quest for vengeance: either Aleena will kill them all, or they will take revenge that will leave her begging for death. Though based on events in Book 1 of this series, this is intended as a stand-alone novel.
