Résumé

Kain Fallen is a middle-aged financial accountant who leads an ordinary life alongside his cats. He follows the media coverage of the public hearing in NY County, which could decide the parole of David Chapman, John Lennon's assassin. This crime shocked the world 40 years ago. Despite protests led by Yoko Ono, the judicial decision to grant parole sparked a wave of crimes and attacks against Hollywood celebrities.
In Brazil, this wave of violence manifests in attacks and assaults on television and theater artists. The media exploits these events in the fight for ratings. A special police force is assembled amidst accusations of forcibly detaining young delinquents in detention and correction centers. Protests fill the streets, and chaos spreads through major urban centers. In this context, Kain decides to take an action that will change his life and the lives of everyone around him.
"Killing John" is transgressive, controversial, and acerbic in its ironic approach to social issues. It is the result of a counter-culture of absurdity, spectacle, hypocrisy, and the unwitting irony of the very environment that birthed it. Throughout the pages, the reader encounters "a silverware set with ancient porcelain, painted in gold by Chinese slaves from an exotic dynasty"... Break free from conventions, prepare for controversy, and a hidden treasure in the depths of the human mind awaits you!
