Résumé

The chance discovery of a World War II bunker by three engineers drilling a water diversion tunnel near a World War II airfield, results in the death of two of the engineers and the survivor running for his life. The paths of three people come together in the City of Metz in the Rich Moselle Valley in eastern France, changing their lives forever. Crates full of diamond necklaces, bracelets, earrings, rooms full of hundreds of silver and gold ingots bring out the worst and the best human values in men and women, each trying to get to the treasure for their own reasons.
Sherman Allen and Jacqueline Du Lafont, Contessa du Lorraine, discover their hidden feelings for each other, as they solve the mystery of the hidden World War II treasure.
