I knew right then that however the night went it wasn't going to be anything at all like it had played out in my little fantasies. The Arizona summer has nothing on the heat I feel every time I look at Steven. That gorgeous ex-Marine may be my dad's best friend, but I've got a very different sort of relationship in mind. My biggest problem is getting Steven to see me as a woman instead of as his best friend's little girl, but I always figured I'd have plenty of time to ease him into the idea of me being all grown up once I started college.
Except I just found out that he's getting a promotion at work that will mean transferring to the other side of the state. Now the clock is ticking. Can I get through to him in the two weeks I have left, or will the man of my dreams disappear forever?
