Hélas! qu'il y a loin de la coupe aux lèvres!Une nuit, le vent s'éleva sous la pression de l'orage. Tapis au fond de notre nid, sous les ailes de nos parents, nous tremblions aux lueurs répétées des éclairs et sous les chaudes rafales qui ébranlaient la maisonnette sur ses fondements.
Transis de peur, mouillés par des torrents d'eau qui se faisaient jour à travers les pailles et ruisselaient sur notre nid, nous nous serrions les uns contre les autres sans oser même pousser un cri. »"I was born in the acclimation garden of the Bois de Boulogne.
