This book will be useful to you improving one's mental health can be as simple as paying more attention in the here and now, both to one's internal experiences and those of the external world. Increasing our awareness of the here and now can enhance our experience of the world and deepen our knowledge of who we are. You can practice mindfulness anywhere, but it can be especially helpful if you realize you've been stuck for a few minutes thinking about problems from the past or worrying about things that might happen in the future. This helps us take a step back from our internal monologue and recognize recurring themes over time, we can learn to tell when our thoughts are in charge and realize that they are just "Mental circumstances" that don't have to control what we do.
