An uptight and humble Northern girl, Lilly is relatively new to Miami and is having trouble making new friends. When she meets Marina, she is instantly captivated by her beauty and bubbly personality. The two twenty-something-year-olds click right away and become friends overnight. Lilly thinks she's just met another ordinary hometown girl with whom she can go to art shows and have girls night-outs.
But as they become closer and Lilly turns into Marina's confidant, she inevitably discovers that Marina has a twisted past and present lifestyle that goes against her morals. Overwhelmed by all she knows about Marina, Lilly must decide if she wants to make a run for the door or stay in Marina's life.
