Résumé

Our journey begins with a reflection on the past, where ancient societies flourished on meat-based diets, reveling in the numerous benefits they offered. These societies enjoyed optimal digestion, increased satiety, and the vital nutrients required for growth and maintenance of their bodies. Contrasting this with the modern rise of diseases like heart disease and diabetes, often linked to grain-based diets, provides valuable insights into improving our present dietary practices and ensuring a healthier future. In understanding our anatomy, you'll be amazed by the design of your digestive system, optimized for breaking down protein and absorbing vital nutrients from animal sources.
Your dental structure, gut microbiome, and metabolic advantages all resonate with our carnivorous lineage, emphasizing the significance of our evolutionary past in shaping our dietary choices. Throughout history, the impact of transitioning from a meat-based diet to a grain-heavy one becomes evident. Ancient civilizations that embraced agriculture and grains witnessed a decline in health, while our carnivorous ancestors enjoyed robust well-being.
By studying these historical patterns, we gain crucial wisdom about the implications of our dietary evolution on our current health concerns. Our exploration of the carnivore diet doesn't just end with history but delves into the contemporary context, shedding light on how it relates to modern diseases like obesity, diabetes, and heart disease. The shift away from ancestral eating habits, sedentary lifestyles, and the consumption of processed foods have all played a role in the rise of these health issues.
Understanding these connections empowers us to make informed decisions about our dietary choices.

Biographie de Isaac Bar-Lev

My Journey: Farm Boy, to Spy, to Carnivore Diet CoachI grew up in a rural farming and ranching community, attending my early schooling in a one-room schoolhouse. As you can see already my biography is going to be a little different!College, Military Service, and Vietnam WarAfter graduating high school in a small village, I pursued nearly two years of college with a major in law enforcement. This was during the Vietnam War, and being the All-American Boy farm boy I was, I volunteered for the Army.
Before leaving the induction Center, two plain-clothed men recruited me into the military branch of the National Security Agency or NSA. Intelligence Training and UndercoverIntelligence school was Special Forces and regular Army. I volunteered for Vietnam and spent eight months in undercover intelligence. I was called to Saigon and appointed Daily Briefing Analyst to the Joint Chiefs of Staff.  I briefed them every morning.
Post-Vietnam - UniversityIn Europe, I worked tactical forward intelligence OPS. My work included intelligence gathering, training new recruits, and development of Europe's first all-source intelligence analysis center. I was offered a civilian position with the NSA, but I declined. Career and Family LifeOver the next 50 years, I worked in law enforcement and the medical field and even transitioned to high-tech roles.
I shared 37 wonderful years with my wife before she passed, we had two daughters and 11 grandchildren. Three years later, I remarried. Health Struggles and RecoveryMy later adult life was marked with weight fluctuations, I suffered an autoimmune disease, triggered Agent Orange from Vietnam. It severely damaged my nerves, leading to much weight gain from medications. I was 384 lb at 6 ft 4 in tall, barely mobile, and told to buy a wheelchair.
The Carnivore Diet and Becoming a Health CoachDetermined to lose weight, I started a keto diet then a carnivore diet. As I healed, I was able to stoop medications, walk without aid, and join a gym. My  remarkable recovery led me to coaching on the carnivore diet. My doctors one a vegan, were dumbfounded and still follow my progress.
