I travelled to five different continents. We had tea in the White House in Washington, D. C., and visited with Presidents Ford and Carter, as well as their wives, Betty Ford and Rosalynn Carter (after Jimmy Carter became President). During the Soviet Union, we also had drinks in the Moscow Kremlin. President Quett Masire (Botswana's Head of State) and his wife paid us a visit at our residence in Gaberone (my husband was the South African Ambassador to Botswana).
We also dined at the Governor-General's (Personal Representative of Queen Elizabeth) table in Canberra, Australia.
