In the early 1990s in Branson, Missouri, investigative reporter, Kate Starling, covers the murder of local businessman, Bill Pantell. Combatting the authorities who want to quickly close the case, Kate is determined to solve it. When her father is accused of murder, Kate doubles her efforts to exonerate him.
