Twyla Gardiner hates blind dates, yet her friends seem determined to set her up with new men every other week. When her best friend arranges yet another blind date with a man she swears is Mr. Wonderful, Twyla reluctantly agrees. A shopping spree at Lavender Lace, a new lingerie store owned by Celtic goddess Ashlyn, thrills Twyla. At five-feet-ten, she has trouble finding sexy lingerie to fit her tall, voluptuous body, and loves the vast selection in Ashlyn's store.
At the last moment, Twyla decides she can't go through another disappointing blind date, despite the sexy lingerie she purchased. She escapes to the Wild Rose Inn in the foothills east of Dallas. Daniel LaFevers is new in the Seattle area and hasn't had the chance to meet many women. One look at the dark-haired beauty sitting in the bar of the locals' hideaway and Daniel knows he has to get to know her better.
Twyla feels an instant attraction to Daniel, and invites him to her room. This could be the next in a long line of disappointments, or a date with Mr. Wonderful.
