In my late teens I made the decision to become the best me I could be. I owe this decision to my dearest friend and mentor, Maurice Allen, unfortunately, now deceased, and very much missed. As Maurice would keep on telling me: "Be the best you can be" and "What the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve!" Wow, were these lessons or what but that really stuck with me. These words of his still remain with me to this day at 58 years old.
It has and it is still my main mission in life. To learn and grow for the rest of my life. May it become your mission in life as well. In addition, my poems are many of the life-lessons I have tried to live by. Many poems are simply funny or sad but, still, there is always something to get from each and every one of my poems. It is a way to live by, to think to become a better person which is the purpose of life for all of us.
May they inspire you! God bless....
