Résumé

A large panorama of innovative suggestions and ideas for people interested in physics. Instead of complex theories and mathematical speculation, direct possibilities of pertinent simplification are shown, so that general relativity including quantum gravity is becoming accessible to a large audience. Prior knowledge of special relativity is recommended, but an overview is provided in the introduction. Contents: - Special relativity, briefly - The nature of time - The mistaken assumption of a spacetime manifold - Quantum gravity by elimination of spacetime - Black holes: the infinity at the event horizon - Gravitational attraction and repulsion - Understanding the wave-particle duality of light

À propos de l'auteur

Biographie de René Friedrich

The author has been dealing with problems of Einstein's relativity for more than ten years, and his aim is to make general relativity accessible to people interested in physics and (ideally) even to school teaching. Since he is not a recognized specialist in the field, his ideas are currently largely ignored by the official physics community. However, in 2023 he received an honorable mention in the well-established Gravity Essay Competition organized by the Gravity Research Foundation (GRF).
The subject of his essay was the infalling observer of a black hole. The idea is discussed in Chapter 5 of the book.
