Résumé

The Navajo Medicine Woman & The Civil War Vet - A Navajo woman decides to become the mail order bride of a wounded vet, but she hasn't told him she's Navajo and when she arrives at the train station, she has no idea what effect her appearance has on him because he has a severe case of PTSD from the war, and what happened during it. The English Governess Meets The Cowboy - A governess from England is hired to go out west and become the teacher to a widower's four children, and perhaps, something much more.
When she arrives the two younger girls take to her immediately but the cowboy and his two other children are a bit in shock over her appearance, even though they have seen a photo of the woman before. The Lord's Perfect Gift - The Woman With Polio & The California Farmer - A woman with polio takes the long journey by train to her mail order husband, a farmer in California. She hasn't told him about her polio, or the fact that she may not be able to have children, but from the beginning he shows her nothing but love and kindness.
When she opens up and is truly able to tell him her secret, she is afraid that means she will be sent away. The House That Love Built - A man helps his friend by working on a house that the friend is creating in anticipation of the man's soon-to-arrive mail ordered bride, but something happens that pulls the reins on the friend's hopes and dreams and the man wonders what will be the future of the handcrafted house and its wonderful furnishings.
