Raul Baez was born and raised in the Bronx, New York City. His early childhood consisted of massive traumatic experiences in a family of total chaos and dysfunction. The untreated trauma led to multiple encounters with depression, suicidal ideation, drug addiction, and incarcerated experiences. He survived a barrage of bullets totaling thirty-two shots by two NYPD officers, being homeless, and overcoming sentences for more than two hundred years in prison.
For all intents and purposes, he is supposed to be dead or in prison for the rest of his life!Raul attributes his transformation to God. With a renewed mind, he eradicated the values and belief systems that subjugated him for decades. He inevitably got educated with a degree in Real Estate Appraisal AS, Personal Finance BBS, and a master's in business. He has started a Sole Proprietorship, an S-CORP, and a nonprofit which is the genesis of Set Your Thoughts Free.
He is fully passionate with the mission to equip individuals transitioning from prison with biblical principles, character development, and financial literacy. He has developed his program with various youth organizations, high schools, and multiple New York State and New England prisons. Raul illuminates that the battles that count aren't the ones for gold medals. The struggle within and the fortitude to make the invisible visible are where you sculpt change.
He is uniquely qualified to speak about extracting the nuggets from adversity to propel a higher standard of achievement. He is adamant in the belief that when you change your thoughts, you change the actions that follow, and inevitably you transform the outcomes. Your life is directly connected to the way you see yourself, your time, your money, your relationships, your values, your beliefs, and your expectations.

Today, Raul is married to his wife Odalys and lives in Pawtucket, Rhode Island.
He is a member of the Getsemani Church and Prison Fellowship Ministries, and he travels the Northeastern states and the New England region to spread God's word, his powerful testimony, and the multiple curricula he has created in business, real estate, and character development.
