Résumé

George looked cautiously around the dark alley before opening the trunkto his vehicle. "Are you a cop? Are you associated with any type of lawenforcement in the United States?" He made sure the bar's back door videowas pointed directly at him and his would-be customer. His solemn faced customer shook his head, "No, I'm just a citizen in bad need." He kept fingering the lapel of his sports jacket, a clear sign he was nervous.
It was obvious he was afraid of going to jail. George had learned to ask. He knew law enforcement officials were allowed by law to lie to a suspect, but, by law, when he asked the direct question, they were required to answer truthfully; otherwise, the bust would not be valid. Either way, George would be back out on the street before the cop made it back to his beat. George had one of the best lawyers money could buy, and George was one of his best customers.

Biographie de Marvin Mark Stepp

Mark Stepp graduated college with double majors in journalism and education. His minors were professional writing, psychology, English, and math. He is SAP and OSHA certified, a certified systems engineer and database manager, a former financial adviser and tax adviser, and a certified sea captain (sail boats). His only complaint is being bored. He began his career as a reporter and photographer for Oklahoma County News Publishing.
His beat was the eastern half of Oklahoma County. He later became editor-in-chief for the Wewoka Daily Times. After leaving the Times, he took over publication of the Mayes County Chronicle and then went to work as the assistant city life editor for the Oklahoma Journal, a large daily covering Oklahoma City and the surrounding area. He has ghost written more than a dozen books. After the Journal went out of business, Stepp spent a few years as a freelance photographer for Globe Photos, an international stock photography company, before becoming the lead editor at Old American Publishing, specializing in hometown publications.
During that time he also worked as a technical editor for some of Houston's Fortune 100 companies, primarily creating publications for those companies. He spent 12 years with Schlumberger Oilfield Services as a senior technical writer/editor. He took an early retirement in 2017 to concentrate on writing novels. Today, he is CEO of Sunshine America video productions. As a businessman, Stepp has owned two weekly newspapers (Mayes County Chronicle and Harrah News); two printing companies (Presto Print and Astroprint); a property management company (Showcase Home Management); three vapor stores (Captain Vapor), and a publishing company (Old American Publishing).
He describes himself as a professional writer and businessman. He obtained his securities license in 1987, and has been active in the stock market since that time. Stepp has two daughters, one owns and operates a Pilates Studio in Texas, and the other is a book editor. He loves to travel and plans someday to officially retire in the Philippines. His wife, Cherry, works for a financial planning company in Oklahoma.
